So, apparently you want to know who we are. 2 words: we’re CRAZY!
Crazy excited, crazy party animals, crazy awesome and crazy keen to make this year the best it can be for you. I’m the Active Membership Coordinator, meaning that if you become an active member, you get to work with yours truly!
I grew up in a rather large variety of countries, to name a few: Morocco, China, France, South Africa, Kazakhstan, the UAE…the list goes on. I went to 9 different schools before I came to Hotelschool the Hague. What I’m trying to say with this is, I’m open to so many different cultures, which is why I’m open to new ideas, and have a passion for interacting with people from all over the world.
I speak English, Dutch, German and French; yes, I’m a mixed breed. One may think I’m not totally sane due to all the immigrations, however, I assure you, I can be trusted! I’m very approachable as I have a bubbly personality. My German side may pop out at times as I’m a slight perfectionist and once I get started on cleaning, I can’t really seem to stop.
Born in Paris, I have a love for fashion and may have something that I like to call a HUGE shoe obsession. On average, I own between 45 and 50 pairs of shoes. The reason I don’t know the exact amount is because half of them are in Dubai with my parents. People have compared me to Carrie Bradshaw (Sex and the City), probably because of the shoes, the clumsiness, the nose, the curly hair, love for my friends and yes, I have a necklace with my name on it!
I’m also half Dutch, which is probably why I’m tall, love beer, and bittergarnituur. Oh, and poffertjes! I speak English because of the many different countries I have lived in and mainly because I spent most of my life in South Africa.
I get my work done and love to work with people who have waves of creativity as I do!
Joining SQ was one of the wisest decisions I’ve made in a long time. It’s going to be a challenging, but tremendously valuable and entertaining year.
